Apple Mustard

Great for brats! We had this on turkey brats and loved it.




Ingredients

  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped (I used Fuji, although I am sure any is fine)
  • ½ cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons stone ground mustard, divided

Directions

In pan over medium heat on stove, heat all ingredients except mustard until apples are soft. Stir as needed to prevent burning.


Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to blender or food processor, and blend with 2 teaspoons of mustard. Process until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in remaining mustard.


Store in a glass jar in fridge until ready to serve.
