Dry Ranch Dressing Mix

Easy to make, easy to use, and better flavor than the packets in the store with no preservatives! Make into dressing or dips, sprinkle on popcorn, and use in place of dry ranch dressing mix in any recipe.

A few of the ingredients I used

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon seasoned salt - I use about ½ rounded teaspoon, because I try to limit our salt, and I think the flavor is just as good
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion, onion powder, or onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves or dill weed - I usually use dill
  • ½ cup nonfat dry milk powder

Dry mix, and mixed for salad dressing

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pulse for a couple of minutes, to thoroughly combine. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.

To make dressing, combine 3 tablespoons mix with ½ cup lowfat buttermilk* and ½ cup olive oil mayo.

*To substitute regular milk for buttermilk; just add a dash of lemon juice or distilled white vinegar.
